Optoelectronics- Eyes of the System As systems have become more complex, the ultimate goal is to mimic the human being. The most important external input to the system and person are often the eyes. Optoelectronics light sensors offers the possibility to evolve a system to the next level of automation. This can improve system functionality and lower power requirements at the same time.
Todd Bishop is the Technical Marketing Manager for Europe of TAOS a new subsidiary of AMS. He has over 12 years of experience in optoelectronic systems design and applications. He has a broad background in integrated circuit fabrication wafer process, design, test, characterization, and application engineering. Todd holds a M Sc EE in Microelectronics from the University of Texas. |

Let the electronics control your environment. Almost all electronics are processor based and the processor needs a number of inputs to be able to make decisions. Inputs from humidity and temperature sensors are very important to control the environment. This can improve system functionality, increase safety and lower power requirements at the same time. This presentation will review a brief history of advanced CMOSens® Technology and show what is possible with today’s sensors. The unique sensors for humidity, temp, gas and fluid flow are built on strong patents which give many extra features in applications such as industrial, automotive and medical Presenter: Dr. Daniele Rezzonico, Sensirion AG Technical Manager Distribution Network |
