Embedded Conference Scandinavia, ECS, has grown steadily each year since its start in 2006 and now attracts some 2,000 embedded professionals. It has developed into a premier international event offering a world-class conference, an important exhibition with leading suppliers of embedded products/services and the latest technology, popular social activities and the annual Swedish Embedded Award. Attending ECS and all the conference sessions is free of charge, but we ask all delegates to pre-register.
ECS was initiated in 2006 by the Swedish Electronics Trade Association, Svensk Elektronik, which with its 200 members is the leading trade association in Sweden for manufacturers, developers and suppliers from the electronics industry.
ECS 2017 Summary
At ECS 2017 we had 90 exhibiting companies and organizations and a record breaking 1,941 visits over two days were recorded at the 12th edition (1,913 in 2016). This year, ECS once again presented a world class conference program with more than 80 sessions and no less than four keynote speakers: Elena Fersman, Ericsson, Niklas Karpe, Scania, Maarten Struys, Microsoft and Tor Björn Minde, RISE SICS, all of which attracted a large audience. Many of the other seminars were also completely full. ECS 2017 was inaugurated by Niklas Karpe from Scania.
The Award Ceremony of The Swedish Embedded Award 2017 was held during the industry reception and the winners in the categories Enterprise and Student were awarded.
It is interesting to see how ECS has become such a well established event for the embedded industry. More suppliers of both hardware and software tools from outside of the Nordic Countries see value in participating. This increases the value for the Nordic visitors even further.”
